What's the Goal of the Multilingual Speaks Corpus?
Ethas has released two large data sets that people can obtain. The first one is called the peoples speech and i think i talked with ethas about this last year. And it's sort of intended for speech recognition purposes, but you can use it for a lot of other things. It covers 300 and forty thousand keywords with a hundred and 15 thousand different source speakers in 50 languages. Those 50 languages cover five billion human speakers. This is the majority of the world's population. We've had people who downloaded it to do like denoising filters for acoustical applications. Its, like i said, permissively licensed conversational speech. But again, also speech.
