i wanted to remember my father, who was a very unusual person for his time and place. A large part of the text are his journals, his journal entries that he kept every morn when he got ut, recording his dreams and other observations. His great grandmother came to texas as widow with four children in 18 33,. She settled there with her family in central texas. That's about the same place where my father grew up on a farm. He had a hard time fitting his traditional beliefs in with that model of reality. And so he was really sort of plunged into an exidental crisis.
