The Last Straw on the Camel's Back
During the acquisition, there was super, super heavy incentives for the management team and key engineers to stay at Nest. And they also got so serious into trying to sell Nest that it had a project code name called a MALPHY. The last straw on the camel's back here is in May of 2016, a Nest employee files a complaint against Google with the National Labor Relations Board saying that Alphabet and Nest fired him because he was posting on Facebook about all the leadership issues at Nest.
