The Kameh family were taken to the Posten relocation center in Arizona. Among them was Susan's father Hiroshi, then 14 years old. Meanwhile, George Takei and his family reached the Santa Anita Park racecourse on the outskirts of Los Angeles. The strong stench of horse manure, fresh raw horse manure was pungent. For them, being forced to sleep in a stable was painful and humiliating.
