How to Estimate Your Energy Expenditure During Resistance Training

Research shows that wearable devices do a poor job of estimating energy expenditure during exercise. The six sets of five session, obviously people were doing more sets during that with a higher total load and just more sets. Those sessions took the longest, and unsurprisingly, wound up resulting in the highest total energy expenditure. But then when they expressed all three workouts in terms of energy expenditure per minute they were all very similar.
