The Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation

i was the oldest of four, and i kind of didn't have liked the same situation you had. It was almost like this, cause i was no valedictory and did really well in sports. And i felt this pressure as an older sibling where i had to like perform. So for me, it was definitely a combination of extrinsic and intrinsic,. The external reward in that instance, was somebody believed in me and cared about me which was in a huge hole in my life. But actually, recognition is, even though its coming from an external source, is an intrinsic motivator.
