The International Academy of Astronautics' Fourth Planetary Defence Conference is taking place this week. Scientists are discussing how to assess the impact from things like this falling to Earth. The smallest we have is something you can see yourself if you go outside any clear night. What we're discussing here is those that are much larger, so say, tens up to hundreds of meters. And for once every thousand years, I would estimate that you would get an object, say, of 100 meters in size. That would definitely destroy a complete city.
