The Importance of Featured Voices in Foreign Policy Discussions

I felt that the conversation had just become less serious, and that was to the poverty of our debate and our policymaking. People who had sort of been there on the ground involved in these issues, these voices were being systematically devalued due to these sort of commercial trends in the media business. And I really felt it was important to feature the voices of people who had the relevant experience to inform policymaking. As an ethical matter, I thought it was extremely important.
