i grew up on an island in alaska, on kodiak island, always in nature and around otof animals. My way into science was kind of through the creativity of it and the problem solving. And i decided i really didn't like being in the lab. So i made my way into clinical research, and then ultimately, like vaccine research. I heard rick talking about this at a conference, and also the idea of really doing this in a non profit way.
