Methyl cation, or CH3+, is the root of all interesting chemistry that you could have in a circumstellar disk. The James Webb Space Telescope was able to see it with exquisite precision. It shows us how important and complex carbon-based molecules can actually be formed around a young star. We've also found evidence for black holes in the centers of some galaxies.
