If you took a pill that made it easier for you to memorize chords and made your fingers more nimble then what I predict would happen was that you would start trying to play increasingly more demanding pieces. All of the struggle would just occur at a higher plateau. Even if you had a whole panoply of enhancements there's still going to be the weather, wars or betrayals in personal relationships. It's not as if we're going to achieve a kind of complete mastery over our fate.
