Jason David Frank's Threat to Comic Con Security

Reiko Nichols, a member of the cosplay community, alerted Phoenix Police to Matthew Sterling's potential threat. Just 11 minutes after Sergeant Nichols called in the threat, officers were combing through the throngs of convention attendees and found him gearing up for his attack on the second floor. He pleaded not guilty at his preliminary hearing for attempted murder; bail was set at $1 million. The incident prompted Comic Cons everywhere to increase their security procedures. Those with fake weapons would be forced to leave them at home or risk being refused entry.
