Is There a Role for Genetically Engineered Scientists?
He's just exploring every possible future that could happen all at the same time in a way that you can never pin him down on anything. And I found it very frustrating. He'll say things like if we could create genetically engineered scientists to have greater research abilities like Einstein, this would compensate for fewer people overall. So what's the extra value of doing this? Sorry. You're not constrained to anything besides certain chunks of it being plausible when phrased one way.
