Do You Know How to Stop a Yo-Yo Diet?

We were evolved in the environment of caloric deficits, and now we live in an environment of caloric abundance. So there's a little bit of a mismatch between our drives and our internal drives. What we're doing through mindful eating is changing the metaphor altogether to a pendulum. We're moving away from these extremes of being in control or out of control to the middle where I call it being in charge.
