The History of the Human Heart

In 1968, a pulp edition of the history of the human heart was being reprinted. The author found it on Amazon for $5 and had no idea what it contained. She says white male editors were chipping away at the book to make it look like a sexual past where men were in charge; women weren't saying much. In actual fact, when you read the editions that Peter Fryer published as pulp novels, he even further reduces the feminist content more so than the Victorians did.
