The Importance of Being an Academic

I was a kid who did well in school for you know 15 years without really trying. And law school was so challenging and I also really loved it. It's funny to say that University of Chicago was in its heyday. Elena Kagan was on the faculty at that time. My thought was that I would integrate engineering with law and be a patent lawyer.
