Is Tourism Important for Coral Reefs?
Climate change is the biggest threat global to a coris. But other threats are compounding this pressure on reefs. Over fishing, local nutrient supplies and invasive species all pose problems. Tourism is really important for coral reefs as it brings in income. Is it better if tourists leaves them alone? It's a difficult question that we do know that if you value something, you are more likely to protect it.
