The Importance of Fringe Days in the Church
The council envisioned that these would make their way into national calendars. In very few places, do I know of any bishops' conference that actually did include the ember and rogation days in their calendar as they were supposed to. There was a discussion about that at the USCCB for a particular, particular way of doing penance. But what might someone do to encourage this practice? Good question.
