Is It Always the Case That Computation Plus Social System Equals Disaster?
Is it always the case that when you weave computation and data into something, it's going to go off the cliff? Or is there a way of its being beneficial to humanity, your having some way out of it. I i think there are cases, like you said, it's notalways the case that a te systems plus whatever equals disaster. But we do find that, i would say, in broad terms, what we see, may be in the last couple of decades, is that these companies are developing products and services which permeate into everyday life in really profound ways. In some ways they're not equipped to deal with, to deal with that responsibility. And so that's why
