David Frum: Do you feel optimistic after our conversation with him that this dynamic of narrowing and equality that we saw is sustainable or do you question that? He says immigration in his view does have an effect on income distribution especially at the lower end. "I don't think it's a coincidence that the periods where you see a lot of catching up or the lower end of this in the income distribution are periods where immigration is more restricted," he adds.
