What Are the Ripple Effects of Atonement Theory?

For so many Christians today, the most important thing is this distilled idea of atonement. And that's codifying and almost calcifying the scapegoating mechanism. But if we can go back then to this reading the gospel through the lens of the victim, understanding that Jesus was dismantling theapegoating mechanism, what are the ripple effects of that?
