Trevor Booker: We allow lies to be told and we accept them mainly because it turns out that when we tell a story about the other side, it makes us feel better. And so we enjoyed the performative aspects of making stuff up. But having some baseline of sticking to the truth when you're telling stories about our country, about policy, but also about the other Side, that matters.
