Book of Second Peter
Many believe that the book of second peter was authored by Peter himself. Richard borcom puts forward a theory that somewhat cushions the blow. He maintains that the book belongs to a testamentary genre, known to be fictional. The early church was far more hostile towards pseudepographical works than richard borkam's theory would suggest. Such works were not merely regarded as pious fictions, but actual misleading of people.
