The Benefits of CBT for Perfectionism

Do people generally benefit from therapy? Or do they generally see substantial improvements? And how much perfectionism is impeding their life? That is a very difficult question to answer. But what I would say is, it probably depends to a large extent. One is whether people really identify themselves in the model. So often we'll draw diagrams, very often it involves them keeping diaries and logging what's actually happening. Then we go on to the active treatments phase - trying to target the processes that keep this problem going.
