The Differences Between Discipline and Algo Trading
discretionary traders have a very tough time switching to algo trading and vice versa. A lot of people end up somewhere in the middle where they have these rules. What I would suggest is you track both, if you would just follow the rules and then track what your discretion on top of the rules does.
