Jesus Is the King, and We Should Turn Away and Believe
Mark doesn't tell us about jesu's birth. It just starts in by saying that jesus is the messiah, or the anointed king. Then mark jumps right to jesus's baptism by john the baptist and only spends two verses explaining how satan tempted jesus in the desert. When we hear the message of the good news, or remember the gospel, the right response, jesus says in verse 15, is to repent and believe. Those words probably sound familiar to us. But even though we've heard em a lot, i'm not sure we really know what they mean.
