The Rejection of the Averuos Theory of Mind
Fichino's furious rejection of the Averuos theory of mind may suggest that, like George Gemistos Plathon before him, his enthusiasm for platonism led him into antipathy towards Aristotelianism. But actually, he does not follow Plathon's harsh criticisms of Aristotle. If anything, he was critical of Plathon himself. As a good neo-plateness, he would locate the forms higher in the system, above rational souls. So what the souls again is only a kind of representation or image of the true forms.
