"Until i can come to compassion for my own suffering and the ways in which i've created it, until i can really stabilize an orientation of compassion towards my own being, i'm not ready to do anything else," he says. "I don't want to go and collaborate with anyone who hasn't done the work to come to that place in themselves where theyre their owne effort to give their gift to the world without going through that humbling process."
