I wondered if you might indulge me in a bit of political philosophy, perhaps theology. I'd be remiss in my moral duties as a human if I did not also mention that we have no idea how to determine whether AI systems are aware of themselves. We may at some point inadvertently create digital minds which are truly conscious and ought to have rights and shouldn't be owned. Well, I don't think we get to that point. Anytime soon for the reason I gave you the robot sort of long way off from being as good at faking humanity as these large language models can fake human text. So that's a distant problem.
