There is a popular narrative, i think, which sugre is taking on as well, about the explosive politics of the late 19 sixties being the shattering liberalism. I think that no, feminism and gay rights are all so kind of wrapped up in this. There's a sense assense that this extreme politics produced and is responsible for, a back clas am. It's responsible for, as sgrew writes in orgonstaber crisays, it was writing against this narrative.
