The Establishment GOP's Argument for a Conservative Primary
The last time a moderate so-called centrist kind of liberal Republican candidate won the presidency, was 1956. Dwight Eisenhower beat out more conservative candidate Taft in that election. Since then, let's just look at the record. We've heard variations on it for decades. It has no basis in history. If only you damned conservatives would stop dominating the GOP primary field.
