Lafe Erickson's Journey

Lafe Erickson is credited with being the first European to set foot in North America. He followed Bjarni Harrelson's route from Greenland to Baffin Island, Canada. The area he found was dubbed Vinland or Wineland; today it is known as Lanso Meadows. There are stories that are lifted from Icelandic sagas about Lafe and his expedition.
