There seems to be a delta between how people are perceived and how they feel about themselves. How do you help people close that gap? I think it's really normal, because i don't think anyone really been encouraged to be themselves since going to school. And so you were always trained to be some one else. One of the values exercises that i like to encourage people to do is make a list of everything they think they currently are,. Ask them where that came from, whether it came from internal or extrinsic motivators. Finally decide if they still want to keep it or not....
