Is Automation a Good Thing?
When the border was restricted in the 19 twenties, it's also the case that farmers and others in rural areas lost out on labor force as well. Now that i don't have farm labor, i have to turn to a more capital intensive forms of farming. And so maybe this policy wasn't all bad. It didn't deliv what it promised, which is more jobs and higher wages for us born workers. But automation, generally, is a good thing.
