N l t k is marketed as a swiss army knife slash catch all, but i don't think that it's actually like that. I think it has a very specific use case, and that used case is linguistic. It understands the sentence structure very powerfully by way of aneral network in order to generate a parse tree. And when you are at one particular word, it provides you all the information you could possibly imagine for that word. You're still going to want to use gansim if you want bigrams and trigrams.

- NLTK remains a catch-all "Swiss Army knife" for NLP, but many of its functions have been supplemented or superseded by newer tools tailored to specific tasks.
