Is That Really a Very Strong Nucleus?

The electromagnetic force is much longer range than the strong nuclear force, which is why protons stick to each other in the nucleus. When they're far from each other, they repulse each other. And so there is when we learned actually about the proton, the positively charged particle that's the nucleus.
