The Importance of Divine Simplicity

The common argument against divine simplicity that I've seen in recent literature is to say that if you affirm it then you have a modal collapse where everything does become necessary. Taylor: The particular way of understanding God's agency isn't part motivated by divine simplicity and so this seems to be the best way of understand God's agency that is consistent with divine simplicity. He says there are others who think apart from this special conception of God'sagency that the modal collapse arguments are actually invalid.
