Imposter syndrome is different to other common issues like low self-esteem or lack of confidence. It affects successful people who are high-achieving, such as language learners. Some of the best English speakers I know have told me they doubt themselves and their abilities. They feel like imposters, and one day their company, friends and families will realise that they are an imposter.
