In the early days of DeFi you don't want to expose yourself to protocol risk with high quantities of volume. That's being what I consider to be irresponsible. The second thing we do wrong as a community is that we rely on audits. And they really don't do an effective job of actually auditing. We decided to create our own security team like CERTIC does in C all the time. Like if you go to Coinbase, for example, they have 100 blue teams just making sure everything is locked down.
