What's the Value of a Psychological Approach?

Psychologists have been using computer simulations to test their theories about people's beliefs. Theories are built on what we know about how people respond to things, but the data is still very abstract. John Sutter says it would be more convincing if they used a different way of thinking. He argues that narrative reviews can help you check your intuition and find out where you went wrong in the process.
