Is There a New Imperative to Visual Art?

I think it's true to say that the recent decades have seen visual art emerging as a new lingua. Franke sopet, something that perhaps, especially younger generations, ous to communicate with each other, often without necessarily words at all. And i think that's a really interesting element of the project too, is kind of challenging that idea we might have that word and image are necessarily opposed. A lot of my listeners, who come from more protestant evangelical backgrounds, express a desire to kind of dig in, to im yes, thinking about these things in a serious and in a christian way.
