Is the Cold War Ever Ending?
I think the two situations are pretty dissimilar and there's not much to be gained by comparing them. The Cold War, in my mind, wasn't really about ideologies. Russia is not now and has never been a satisfied nation. This may be related to the fact that it has no natural borders. If Russia itself breaks up and we go back to Muscovy and an independent great Novgorad, so much the better.
