The Importance of Geospatial Technologies in the Public Sector
When we think of geographic information systems, GIS, that is a fairly limited scope. In fact, you would probably be surprised at the extent of GIS today in operations in our public sector as well as in business. There are many other forms of technology that have geospatial tools that can link data in different forms to places on earth. They attribute the use of this term to my former colleagues who have continued to do this in all different forms of disasters from earthquakes in California and wildfire.
