Is Google Really Deploying a Different Messenger in Google Keynote?
Google hasn't rolled out an API yet for developers to implement RCS into their apps. It's possible that Signal has dropped SMS and eventually they're gonna add RCS, but they just don't have any API to work with to integrate it yet. So I could see Signal adding RCS in the future, but why they wouldn't share that now is beyond me. This was written on the wall for a while with a lot of decisions they were making the last year regarding how they were handling SMS,. especially the removal of import back rope.
