The Druidic Priests and the Romans in Anglesea
The isle of mona, also known as innisman and anglesea, was a major centre of druidism at this point in time. The druids may have seen the writing on the wall and realized that they needed to organize a unified fight against the romans or risk losing everything. There are references in ancient welsh poems that suggest that cunobolinus, who was cracticus father had family ties with the tribes of cornwall. But the theory that i most like is that the druids were brokering peace and trying to save their religion,. regardless though caracticus was in a territory that we now know as wales.
