In May of 1660, Charles II arrives in London and the Stuart monarchy is restored. He announces that he will pardon all crimes committed during the Civil War. But there's one group that Charles II and the royalists are not inclined to pardon: Oliver Cromwell. What happens is a national disgrace says Martin Bennett.
