Is There a Crisis in the UK?
I'm slightly concerned that the governments distracted with other issues right now about a change in the top of the Conservative Party, when they should be much more focused on getting us through this crisis. At least you want it to recover when the forecast is being done and it makes the hole in the budget look as small as possible. I think there's just an over estimation of really what governments can do in a sense. We are facing circumstances that outside of any governments control the pandemic, the war and the energy crunch,. demographic trends, largely out of the governments control. And these are the things which you can't just move tax rates a little bit and it will make your go away.
