The Effect of Salt on the Ocean

In the ocean, it is not always true that warmer water lies on top of cold water. Less dense water sits on top of more dense water. The other thing that can affect density is solinity. So for fresh water, it reaches its ximum density at about four degrees c. But in salt water, it just gets more and more dense all the way down to zero. And i am well beyond my understanding of this subject. In situations like this, i call upon ocean grapher, arctic physicist and paddle board enthusiast, helen chersky wise.
