Is There a Billion Dollar Price Tag on a Big Trial?
If we can reduce the costs and increase the quality of these sorts of clinical trials, we can get more new drugs coming through for common diseases like heart disease and depression. We can have better decisions about when and whom to use them. And those drugs, when they come through, will be more affordable and will be more available. So just explain to me why isn't that happening already? Because if i was in charge of a major pharmasutical company, i wouldn't want to spend a billion on a trial if i could do it for tens of millions, would i? I mean, what?
