The Importance of Boss Monsters
Bosses in our games are more powerful than other monsters. A lot of the saver sock abilities that you're going to put on a normal monster just aren't going to work on a boss monster. Even lower level boss monsters are likely to have legendary resistance, which they will use to get rid of those kinds of effects. Some really powerful monster like a dragon's breath weapon can pierce through communities. There will be plenty of monsters for you to crowd control, but the named boss probably it's not going to work.
